If I nagged you to do ONE thing, just one thing and one thing only to improve your turnover and income, would you do it?

The answer is probably not. While you are busy you have no need to market and when you have a quiet patch you don’t know how to start marketing.

I nagged one VA to do this one thing and finally she got so fed up with me she did - the outcome was a $2,000 contract and that one ‘thing’ could well still be bringing in further income. She has done a lot more of it since then!

What is that one way - that one FREE way that will help you generate income - Writing Articles.

How does it work:

   1. You write one ‘simple‘ 500 word article based on the work you do

   2. You submit it to an article directory (note I said ‘an’ and not ‘lots’ of article directories), making sure you’ve read the submission guidelines

   3. You get accepted or maybe have to redo a little work

   4. Your article appears in Google, probably on the first page for the 'key words' you have written about

   5. Your site gets more visitors and therefore you have more chance of picking up work.

Another VA wrote an article which was published on MSN. My site was mentioned and for a week it went ballistic. It was very lucrative for me and all I got was a mention.

Lets take this one stage further…

If writing articles can make you money, it obviously makes other businesses money. Some of those businesses cannot or do not have the time to write a good article in English.

If you have slack time on your hands you can write articles and sell them or give them away. You may wonder how this will make you money. Well I have quite a few articles on my Become a Virtual Assistant website and I know that the visitors go to the writers’ sites as I track all hits. My site gets very high traffic.

You could look at a site called The Warrior Forum and go to the WSO (Warrior Special Offer) section. You will find that writers (normal people not published authors) sell sets of articles on various topics. If you have a hobby or even an illness, you can write 12 or 20 articles and sell them in sets. The less sets you agree to sell the more money you can make. Exclusivity is very important on the web.

This is not Rocket Science and is something you can do to earn money all the time. I try to spend 30 minutes a day doing one thing that will improve my business marketing and writing articles has so far produced the most impressive results.
